Looks like Apple and Cisco have decided to fight the iPhone trademark out in court. Apple, if you’d like to use our “iRate” instead, you’re welcome to it!! I am guessing Cisco is plenty irate about you using their trademark without an agreement…that’s probably why they fired up the lawyer-mobile and are after you! Hey, lawyerMobile, or lMobile wouldn’t be a bad phone name…or iMobile!?!

There’s a great article over at news.com about this, and the possible defenses that Apple can take on this mess, including the fact that there are other companies using the iPhone trademark and Cisco hasn’t sued them, and that Apple, correctly is the first to use the term iPhone to describe a cell phone.

We’d like to remind everyone that Apple has owned rights to use the term iPhone longer than Cisco, by the way…(Cisco has had it since 2000)…here’s an example after the jump… Read the rest of this entry »
